started making my own fishing rods at age 11 because I couldnt afford most of the better ones. Worked for Narmco Conolon Costa Mesa, Conolon Santa Anna, Fenwick Westminster and Nep-tuna, Seal Beach. As well as repairing reels and making rods sense around 1967. My Dad gave me my first really good fly rod in the mid 80's an Orvis Far and Fine Trout Unlimited special auction and presentation model, I still have it and at that point started fishing with fly tackle and repairing and making my own fly rods. I make a limited (about a dozen a year) number of rods, all styles and materials by special order during the winter, Im retired and fish every good day I can. Currently booked till late spring 2009 with 1 opening for a custom rod for spring 2009 delivery.
